Bateau Neckline
Boat-shaped neckline popular in the 1930s and revived in the 1980s.

 

 

Black Tie
Man’s black bow tie worn with dinner jacket or tuxedo for semiformal occasions. Denotes type of dress expected at a semiformal occasion. A Black Tie event indicates that a tuxedo is required for men.

 

 

Blouson Jacket
Jacket with a bloused effect at a normal or low waistline, either gathered into a knitted waistband or pulled in by a drawstring.

 

 

Boa
Long, narrow, round scarf usually made of feathers, fur, swans- down, or pleated silk.  Worn first in 1829 and then became popular again in the 1890s, 1920s, and 1970s. 

 

 

Bridge Line
A price line apparel classification at the upper end that is made with fewer details and less expensive fabrics than designer clothing.

 

 

Burberry
The trademark of Burberry’s International, Ltd., London, for an expensive unisex trenchcoat-type raincoat.  Made of lightweight polyester and cotton fabric with an optional beige, red, and black plaid zip-out lining.  First used by British military officers in 1914.
