Facing
A fabric piece attached to the raw edge of some other part of a garment in order to finish the inner edge. Commonly used in necklines, armholes of sleeveless dresses, and openings at the front or back of garments.

The lifespan of a fashion product or of an overall fashion trend consisting of 3 stages: beginning—when it is first being adopted; peak—when it reaches the greatest popularity; and decline—when its popularity is decreasing.

Industry terminology that describes designers, retailers, consumers, and merchandise that represent the newest, most fashionable styles or trends.

Business practice of conducting fashion counts/statistics, consumer surveys, and the study of the past performance or popularity of an item or trend in order to forecast the demand for various types of fashion merchandise.

Fashion Season
