Paillette
A spangle made of metal or plastic, usually a round disk larger than a sequin.  Used as trimming on evening clothes or handbags.

PDS
Pattern Design System.  Computer system used to create and store new garment and pattern styles.

Peaked Lapel
Turned back front section of a blouse, jacket, coat, or shirt where it joins the collar with a “v” shaped ending at the lapel and collar fitting into it.

Peplum
The extension of a dress bodice that comes below the waistline.  This piece is sometimes pleated or flared.

Private Label
Apparel that is produced under some degree of control by a retailer and usually has a retailer’s label on the product.
