Fashion Cycle
The cycle of adoption and rejection as a fashion style or trend comes into popularity and then is phased out. It is similar to the product life cycle, but has different terminology: the distinctive phase, when the style is initially sought out; the emulation stage, when popularity of the style grows; and the economic stage, when it is sold to the mass market at a lower price.

Fast Fashion
A business strategy which aims to reduce the processes involved in the buying cycle and lead times for getting new fashion product into stores, in order to satisfy consumer demand at its peak.

Foreign Market Entry
Entering a foreign market through direct ownership, joint venturing, exporting, or licensing.

FTZ
Foreign Trade Zone. A region where products can be produced, assembled, refined, stored, or repackaged and then exported by the manufacturer without paying customs, duties, or taxes. An example of an FTZ is Maquiladoras in Mexico.
