Ivory
Ivory typically refers to walrus, mammoth, narwhal, hippopotamus, or elephant tusks, but it can also include tusks from similar animals. Ivory is a hard, white opaque substance with a slight hint of yellow. The majority of animals that are killed for their ivory are on the endangered list; therefore, ivory trade is illegal in the United States.
