Norfolk Jacket
A belted, loose single-breasted jacket featuring box pleats on the back (and occasionally front), with a belt or half-belt. The jacket was popular for boys' suits and jackets and is still seen in police and military uniforms. It was originally created for shooting so it would not bind when the elbow was raised for firing. It was fashionable in the sporting group of the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII), after the 1860s.
