Key Focal Area
A prominent location where merchandise is most likely to grab the customer’s attention.

Example: If those key chains are not positioned in a key focal area, they probably will not sell very well.

 

 

Key Item
Promoting a specific item of merchandise that usually has a high profit margin.

Example: During the holiday season, the most important key item in the store was the $99 cashmere sweater.
