Clothes speak volumes about the wearer, in real life and on stage or in film or TV. The art of wardrobing and costume design has evolved to a highly creative industry. Working with film footage from American Film Institute/FIDM student projects, your students will analyse the use of costume to convey character. They’ll learn about authentication – how to ensure a costume reflects the period it is meant to represent. Included is a discussion of possible careers.
