Political figures have long understood the value of image-enhancement. Even Abraham Lincoln was said to have shaved off his beard at a little girl’s advice. More recently, Presidents Carter, Clinton, and Bush have endeavored to shape their public images to support their goals. We’ve also seen the rise of “spin-doctors.” We’ll track this phenomenon, highlighting your curriculum and giving your students more tools to weigh the candidates.
