Problem solving and creative vision are foundations in Art. These qualities are now recognized as the most valuable tools for a successful 21st century education. I think of myself as a guide more than a teacher who helps students navigate the challenges of the creative process for success, and the self-confidence that comes from real achievement.

As a FIDM Makeover Winner, I saw firsthand what amazing opportunities FIDM offers its students, as well as the outreach to educators that FIDM provides.

As a board member, I will contribute and exchange ideas to further the cause for creativity in education.

My vision for the website is “connection”. Teaching, especially in the arts, can be isolating, but we renew ourselves and our vision through connection to other creative people and their work.
