I am honored to be a member of FIDM's Educators’ Advisory Board. The opportunity to collaborate with the wonderful FIDM staff and other professionals has been educational and rewarding.

As a home economics educator, I provide essential skills for living and also the career skills for a successful future in a post-secondary educational system such as FIDM. I have utilized FIDM’s classroom speakers for nearly seventeen years and have always been impressed with the quality of their presentations. FIDM has also been part of our FHA State Competition offering scholarships to the State winners in Fashion Design and Interior Design of which several of my students were awarded. Their Educators’ Day and annual Fashion Show are beyond wonderful.

FIDM’s curriculum, staff support, and up-to-date facilities are impressive and stimulating. It is very exciting to witness the vast opportunities FIDM provides for any student interested in the field of design. On the newly designed educators’ website, FIDM offers the teachers a multitude of unique creative classroom activities to integrate the academics with the career-vocational classes.
