There are many elements of the Just for Educators website that I have found very useful in my visual arts teaching practice in my classroom where I teach students in grades 9-12. What has been especially valuable, as well as user-friendly, is the Career Facts & Figures section. They are a great reality check and applicable to the students as they explore their talents and vocational choices.
The other amazingly practical resource that the Just for Educators website provides to us are the many creative and engaging Classroom Projects that I can integrate into my curriculum. I teach a general Design course that covers many of the basic design skills, concepts, and the language to inspire design literacy in the students at a young age.
The projects give the students an opportunity to explore the possibilities within the field of design and develop right brain thinking to meet the needs of today’s world. It’s a spectacular website resource.
