TEACHER COMMENTS

How would you describe your overall experience?
My overall experience was exceptional! Kaycee Hale, Katherine Gajete, Mark Trueit, and the tour guides, Bill and Mark, were all very helpful. Katherine was flexible with the scheduling of the tour and Bill and Mark gave us the full tour even though we arrived a half hour late due to traffic. Bill and Mark were very professional and able to answer all the questions my students had about fashion and FIDM.

What aspect of the tour did you find the most exciting? Why?
I found the whole tour experience to be exciting, and I believe that my students did too. Some of my students had not even been to Los Angeles before so it was really neat that they were able to have the opportunity to visit FIDM’s beautiful campus.

What aspect of the tour did your students respond to most favorably?
I believe my students responded most favorably when viewing the multiple resources that are available in the FIDM Library. They also enjoyed the Annex.

What inspired you during your visit to FIDM´s campus? Why?
I found the whole design of the campus to be inspirational. The space is designed in such a way as to accommodate the many needs of college students, and it is also very accessible to campus visitors. I was also impressed that FIDM is now offering a Bachelor’s degree.

What would you tell other educators about your experience in applying for and receiving the FIDM Field Trip Grant?
I have already told other educators to apply for the grant. I told them that it was a great experience and that their students will hopefully have the opportunity to visit FIDM in the future as well.
