Throughout the year, FIDM hosts special events for educators to learn about our majors and campuses. In addition, there are seminars that help update educators about the industry and provide valuable tools to use in the classroom. We offer Saturday Workshops, including “How to Inspire Conceptual Thinking” which features a panel of design professionals. We also lead guided “Shop the Mart” field trips, where our experts give advice on how to shop the California Market Center’s showrooms like professional fashion buyers. The most celebrated event is FIDM’s annual DEBUT Runway Show, which attracts an international audience. There are several options; some are for educators only, and some are for educators and students. Educators may pick the event option that works best for them and/or their class.
