Promoting Environmental Awareness
This grant funds classroom projects that connect recycling and sustainability to the fashion, interior design, and entertainment industries. This grant opportunity is open to both public and private high school educators of all subjects. Teachers are asked to propose a classroom project that incorporates inherent sustainability lessons. Projects can address more than one curricular area. FIDM is open to all interesting and creative ideas. Click here to see an example of a winning proposal.
Up to $7,500 will be awarded bi-annually, with up to $5,000 per individual grant, to be used toward the cost of necessary materials and tools to implement proposed sustainability projects. For the fall semester, applications will be taken from January 1 to June 30, and the grant will be awarded on or before August 30. For the spring semester, applications will be taken from July 1 to December 31, and the grant will be awarded on or before January 31.
