Debut Runway Show Grants

There are two grants in association with Debut, FIDM’s annual runway show that features the collections of Advanced Study Students in Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design.

Gala Dinner and Show Grant*

The Debut Runway Show & LA Fashion Gala Dinner is held once a year to raise scholarship money for FIDM Students. It is attended by over a thousand people including industry notables, the media, FIDM Alumni, and fashion celebrities. The purpose of this grant is to provide an individual who has an interest in fashion and design the opportunity to attend this exciting event. The selected recipient of this grant will receive a free ticket to the dinner and show, at an approximate value of $354.

FIDM Fashion Club Debut Transportation Grant

This grant is designed to provide an opportunity for FIDM’s official Fashion Clubs from around the country to bring their Fashion Club Members to the Debut Runway Show live in Los Angeles. A minimum of three (3) grants per year will be awarded for amounts up to $1,000 each. Grant money must be used toward the cost of transportation and substitute teacher fees.

The Debut Runway Show is an enriching experience for Fashion Club Members aspiring to launch careers in the fashion industry. The evening provides unique opportunities for career development, entertainment, and inspiration.

*In order to qualify for this grant, you must have a minimum of 10 official FIDM Fashion Club Members who are confirmed to attend.
