Staying connected with high school educators is a top priority for FIDM. We exhibit at the annual National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Conference. FIDM also participates in conferences at a regional level, including the Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE) and the National Association Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences (NATFACS).

The college takes a very active role in the student-based organizations, Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) and Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). In addition, FIDM offers workshops and speakers at state and national conferences.
