The Annual Debut Runway Show
Each spring, FIDM hosts Debut, a runway show featuring the designs of graduating students from FIDM’s Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs. Nearly 10,000 people attend over three days. High school students who are members of official FIDM High School Fashion Clubs attend a special invitation-only pre-party. Prospective students are invited to learn more about DEBUT on the FIDM website.
“Shop the Mart” Field Trips
Your students are invited to join our monthly field trip to the world-famous California Market Center (CMC) showrooms, where professional fashion buyers shop. CMC opens its doors once a month to the public, offering discounts of up to 50–80%. Prior to shopping the Mart, our experts will give a trend presentation and provide tips on how to shop like a fashion buyer.

3 Days of Fashion for High School Students
Each summer an educational program is offered for high school students called 3 Days of Fashion. Students take hands-on workshops such as draping and product development. They learn about fashion career options, how to research fashion trends, and how to sketch the nine-head fashion figure. They also have the opportunity to network with working industry professionals.
The 2012 dates for 3 Days of Fashion on each FIDM campus are:

FIDM Open Houses and Out-of-State Events
Students are invited to Open Houses at scheduled times throughout the year at all four campus locations for tours, networking, and important information about FIDM’s 20 creative design and business majors. Please see the FIDM Event Calendar for a list of upcoming Open House dates.
For those who live out-of-state, our representatives travel to high schools and college fairs around the country to meet with students. To find an upcoming FIDM event near you, please refer to our current calendar of out-of-state events.
